Who
We Are

The story of how one gathering became a movement — and a community that spans generations.

The Journey

How It All Began

Long before IANC had a name, Itsekiri families in Northern California were finding each other — at celebrations, through word of mouth, and across dinner tables.
Those informal bonds, built over decades, laid the foundation for what would become our organization in 2011.

Our mission is to preserve and celebrate Itsekiri culture, heritage, and traditions; to serve our community through philanthropy both here in Northern California and in our homeland; and to build bridges of understanding and opportunity between the Itsekiri people and the broader world.
